An eagerly anticipated food and drink festival is set to transform the heart of a picturesque East Yorkshire market town into a lively hub of culinary delights. Scheduled for the weekend of April 26th and 27th, Pocklington will welcome visitors with an array of street foods, artisan stalls, live performances, and family-friendly activities. Organizers highlight the event's significance as a platform for local businesses to connect with broader audiences, showcasing the region's rich gastronomic culture.

In a collaborative effort between the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the Market Square Group Ltd., this vibrant festival aims to spotlight the area’s thriving food and drink scene. The layout features stalls lining the bustling Market Place, leading to a central stage and seating areas in St Peter’s Square, creating an inviting atmosphere for all attendees. Helena Moss, responsible for regeneration and funding at the council, emphasized that such events provide invaluable opportunities for community engagement and economic growth.

Over the course of two days, participants can indulge in diverse flavors while enjoying entertainment ranging from live music to comedic acts. On Saturday, the festival runs from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM BST, followed by a slightly shorter schedule on Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This well-planned structure ensures ample time for both leisurely exploration and energetic celebrations.

The festival promises not only to entertain but also to strengthen ties within the local business community. By fostering connections and encouraging patronage of regional offerings, it plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development and cultural enrichment. As residents and tourists alike gather under one roof, they contribute to building a shared sense of pride and identity tied to the unique tastes of East Yorkshire.
