Uncover the Impact of Michigan State Football Players in the Purdue Win

Winners

LB Jordan Turner proved to be a pivotal player with his diving interception and two QB hurries. His leadership as one of the Spartans' captains kept the injury-ravaged defense steady. Despite not having flashy stats on paper, his impact was significant.

QB Aidan Chiles continued his progress, playing turnover-free football for the second straight week. He went 15-for-31 for 159 passing yards with two TDs and added 26 rushing yards despite getting sacked twice. His ability to evade pressure is a key asset.

RB Kay’ron Lynch-Adams had a strong game, carrying 18 times for 88 yards and adding three catches for 18 more yards. As a sixth-year senior, he is closing out his one-year stay at MSU in style and leads the team in rushing yards.

Losers

The defensive backs suffered due to a bevy of injuries. Three early starters and four other key reserves were out, and Purdue took advantage in the second half. QB Hudson Card threw for 201 yards, including key completions that got the Boilermakers back in the game.

TE Jack Velling was injured and landed in the hospital. He was expected to play a bigger role but was knocked out with a significant injury to his lower back/rib cage area. His availability moving forward is unclear.

WR Jaron Glover has been in and out of the lineup with injuries and went without a target for the second straight game. Redshirt freshman Azaiah Johnson's emergence has also cut into his snaps.
