Elevating the Game Day Experience: United Center's Culinary Innovations for the 2024-25 Season

As the United Center prepares to usher in its 15th year, the iconic Chicago sports and entertainment venue has partnered with Levy Restaurants to unveil a tantalizing array of new food and beverage offerings for the upcoming 2024-25 Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks seasons. From perfecting fan favorites to introducing unique culinary experiences, the chefs at the United Center are committed to elevating the game day experience for all who pass through its doors.

Redefining the Arena Dining Experience

Queenie's Supper Club: A Unique Dining Destination

Nestled above the East Atrium, Queenie's Supper Club has been a beloved dining destination for Bulls and Blackhawks fans for the past seven years. This full-service restaurant, with its "Wisconsin supper club" vibe, continues to offer a one-of-a-kind experience for fans and the general public alike. Zak Sherman, the general manager of Queenie's, emphasizes the uniqueness of the concept, stating, "There are only a few concepts similar to Queenie's within indoor arenas, so it is a very unique experience to be able to partake in while going out to see Bulls or Hawks games." Diners can indulge in a prime rib or filet while donning their favorite team's jersey, creating a truly immersive and memorable experience. For the upcoming season, Queenie's has made some exciting updates to its menu, including the introduction of the Ora King Salmon dish. Executive Chef Scott Perez of Levy Restaurants explains the uniqueness of this offering, "The Ora King Salmon is really unique because Ora King Salmon is typically a sushi-grade fish — it's the fattiest salmon on the planet." Served with gochujang-butter poached crab, bok choy, and crispy garlic, this dish promises to delight the senses and transport diners to a culinary adventure.

Elevating Classic Favorites

While Queenie's Supper Club offers a premium dining experience, the United Center's culinary team has also focused on elevating classic fan favorites. Perez, who works closely with Queenie's and other Chicago restaurants within the arena, emphasizes the importance of catering to a diverse range of palates and budgets. "We try to appease a large fan base and try to cater to a lot of different palates," he explains. "I think it's become so much more than just nachos and hot dogs — we do those too and try to do them really well — but we also look at other ways where we can exceed expectations."One such example is the collaboration with Avondale's Honey Butter Fried Chicken to enhance the crispy chicken strips found in Section 115. Perez and his team have worked tirelessly to ensure that these classic game day staples are now even crispier and more flavorful than ever before.

Embracing Local Partnerships

The United Center's culinary team has also forged partnerships with renowned local restaurants to bring their signature dishes to the arena. One such collaboration is with Chef Stephanie Izard's This Little Goat Taqueria, located in Sections 114 and 230. The team has worked to update the avocado dip, making it creamier and zestier, and topping it with chili lime crunch seasoning, pickled peppers, and queso fresco. These partnerships not only showcase the diverse culinary offerings available at the United Center but also highlight the venue's commitment to supporting local businesses and elevating the overall fan experience.

Celebrating Milestones and Honoring Legends

The 2024-25 season marks a significant milestone for the United Center, as it celebrates its 30th anniversary since opening in August 1994. To commemorate this occasion, Levy and United Center representatives unveiled a giant card signed by notable celebrities, including gymnast Simone Biles and the band Twenty One Pilots. This gesture not only acknowledges the venue's rich history but also pays tribute to the legends and icons who have graced its halls over the past three decades. It serves as a testament to the United Center's enduring legacy and its ability to captivate and inspire generations of sports and entertainment enthusiasts.

Expanding the Culinary Footprint

Levy's culinary expertise extends beyond the United Center, as the company recently added Soldier Field to its roster of partners. In August, Levy unveiled a range of new items at Soldier Field, including the Odunze Dog, bear paw pretzel, and updated odes to regional favorites, such as the Italian beef sandwich. This expansion showcases Levy's commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences across Chicago's premier sports and entertainment venues. By leveraging their expertise and partnerships, the company continues to push the boundaries of what fans can expect from their game day dining experiences. As the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks prepare to take the court and ice for the 2024-25 season, the United Center's culinary team, in partnership with Levy Restaurants, is poised to deliver an unparalleled dining experience that will elevate the game day atmosphere and leave a lasting impression on all who visit.
