The Corinth community is reeling from the devastating news of a tragic car accident that claimed the life of a beloved high school student. Callie Pounders, a 17-year-old senior at Corinth High School, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning, leaving her family, friends, and the entire school district in a state of profound grief.

Pounders was the driving force behind the Corinth High School softball team's MHSAA 5A championship victory earlier this year, pitching all 14 innings of the championship series and striking out an impressive 20 batters while allowing just four earned runs.
