In a significant development for transportation infrastructure, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has embarked on the construction of the Hepu-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway. Construction Kicks Off on Vital Transportation Projects

In the heart of autumn's golden hues, December 29, 2024, marked a pivotal day for transportation infrastructure in Guangxi. The Hepu-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway section within Guangxi officially commenced construction. Stretching over 62.68 kilometers in the Beihai area, this high-speed rail line is designed to operate at an impressive speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Upon completion, it will serve as a crucial artery connecting the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone with the Pearl River Delta and the GBA, significantly boosting regional cooperation and economic integration.

Simultaneously, the Longmen Bridge, the longest sea-crossing bridge in Guangxi, opened to traffic. Spanning 7.637 kilometers, this six-lane highway bridge reduces travel time between Fangchenggang Port and Qinzhou Port from 1.5 hours to just 25 minutes. Designed for a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, the bridge enhances maritime connectivity and facilitates faster trade and logistics.

Adding to the region's transport milestones, the Nanning-Yulin section of the Nanning-Zhuhai High-Speed Railway also opened on Monday. This 193-kilometer stretch slashes the travel time between Nanning and Yulin from one hour and 44 minutes to a mere 48 minutes.
