In the post-apocalyptic world of Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, survivors face threats beyond the undead. The "Ask Your Mom" quest presents a unique challenge, tasking players with uncovering six graffiti poems scattered across the camp and identifying the elusive human artist behind them. This mission requires keen observation and strategic navigation, as the in-game clues, while present, can be deceptively tricky to follow.
The initial interaction with any of the graffiti pieces triggers a visual cue: faint footprints illuminated by your flashlight. These tracks are designed to guide you to the next poetic inscription. However, the intermittent nature of these footprints, with significant gaps between them, often leaves players disoriented. This guide aims to alleviate that frustration by providing precise locations for each poem and a clear path to unmasking the artist, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience for those struggling to keep pace with the elusive clues.
The first poem can be found within the Command Center, directly across from the entrance of your personal sleeping quarters, a shipping container. Activating this piece of graffiti is crucial, as it unlocks the appearance of subsequent clues. Following this, venture into the Garage area. Upon seeing the crosswalk markings on the ground, turn left and proceed. The second poem is located in the far left corner of this section, near two portable toilets, emblazoned on the wall.
Next, head towards the Laboratory. After passing through its gate, take an immediate right and stick close to the fence line. The third poem is visibly painted on a white storage unit in this vicinity. To locate the fourth poem, you must return to the Command Center. This time, navigate to the rear wall of your shipping container bedroom, where the graffiti will be evident.
The footprints leading to the fifth poem are particularly misleading, often sending players on a circuitous route. To save time and frustration, bypass these deceptive clues and head directly to the Liquidation area. Here, a watchtower stands prominently, and the fifth poem is inscribed upon its wall. Finally, the sixth and last poem is situated beneath the painted sign that points towards the Laboratory, completing your collection.
With all six poems successfully located, your next step is to confront Abe Crow, the unfortunate target of the graffiti. He will inquire about the source of the paint used by the vandal, prompting you to investigate the storage area within the garage. A scientist in this area will reveal that the stolen paint is virtually indelible, meaning the culprit's clothes should bear tell-tale red stains. Shining your flashlight on the survivors will expose the guilty party by highlighting these incriminating marks. At this juncture, you are presented with a choice: accept a bribe from the graffiti artist or report them to the scientist. This decision carries minimal long-term consequences, allowing players to choose between a monetary reward or the satisfaction of upholding justice within the game's narrative.
