The Aspen Chapel Gallery is inviting art enthusiasts to contribute to the development of young artists by participating in an innovative exhibition. The gallery has organized a special event where individuals can "adopt" pieces of artwork showcased in the "5 X 17" exhibit. This initiative brings together contributions from five local high schools, each presenting 17 unique artworks. By making a $25 donation to adopt a piece, supporters ensure that 75% of their contribution goes directly back to the respective school's art department, fostering creativity and artistic education.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of this inspiring collaboration between the community and high school art programs. Over the past four years, the gallery has successfully donated a total of $12,000 to support these departments, with each school receiving $600 annually. The goal for this year remains ambitious yet achievable: raising $600 per school. Participants can explore the exhibition online via the gallery’s website, where they can view a video presentation of the featured works. This platform not only showcases the talent of aspiring young artists but also provides an opportunity for the community to engage and support them.

The impact of this initiative extends far beyond financial assistance. It encourages students to pursue their passion for art while building a bridge between educational institutions and the broader community. By supporting these young artists, we invest in the future of creative expression and cultural enrichment. The dedication shown by volunteers like Tom Ward and Michael Bonds exemplifies the power of collective effort in nurturing the next generation of artists. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these talented students.
