Volunteer Craft Session Brings Joy to Foster Youth

In an effort to bring comfort and joy to local youth in foster care, the Southborough Library organized a special crafting session on Thursday, January 28th, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Held in the cozy Eaton Meeting Room located downstairs, this drop-in event welcomed both teens and tweens to participate without requiring any prior registration or long-term commitment. Under the guidance of the Teen Library Team (TLT), volunteers crafted "Sweet Cases"—decorative duffle bags filled with thoughtful items designed to provide emotional support to children transitioning into new foster homes.

The Friends of the Southborough Library sponsored this free program, which aligns with the library's mission to engage young people in meaningful activities that benefit the broader community.
