Gordilla described the situation as extremely difficult. "The whole foundation of the house is affected, and it's going to be a long and challenging process to fix. Especially with the holiday approaching, it adds to the stress. But we're staying strong and hopeful." They are currently staying at his sister's house while waiting for insurance to assess the damage. Despite the hardships, they are focused on moving forward.
Although they don't wish any harm on the driver, they do hope that if the person is caught, appropriate measures can be taken. "Everyone makes mistakes, but we need to ensure that justice is served," Gordilla said.
The family is now raising funds to make the necessary repairs to their home. This is a challenging task, but they are determined to restore their living space. "We're grateful for the support of our community. Every little bit helps, and we're confident that we can get through this together," Gordilla added.
Looking back, Gordilla is thankful for his own safety. "It's hard to imagine what could have happened. I'm just glad that I made it out alive. This experience has taught us the importance of being prepared and having a support system."
