In a heartwarming gesture, CMC Recycling's staff recently organized and executed a food drive aimed at supporting the Permian Basin Mission Center (PBMC). This initiative resulted in the donation of over 200 pounds of canned goods, significantly enhancing PBMC's capacity to assist those in need within the community. The mission center has been a vital resource for local residents, providing essential services such as food, clothing, and financial aid. Through this collaboration, CMC Recycling and PBMC have demonstrated their commitment to improving the lives of many in the region.

The employees of CMC Recycling took it upon themselves to spearhead this charitable effort. Trish Johnson and Corey Burnett were among the key figures involved in coordinating the collection of donations. Their dedication was evident as they worked closely with PBMC staff members like Sandy Hernandez, Edith Vasquez, Eli Hernandez, Romona Harris, Sharla Scott, and Hank Herrick. Together, they ensured that the donated items would reach those who needed them most.

This initiative comes at a crucial time when the demand for assistance is high. In the coming year, PBMC plans to continue its extensive support for the community. Last year alone, the center provided aid to more than 17,000 individuals, offering not only food and clothing but also helping with rent and utility bills. Such comprehensive support underscores the critical role that organizations like PBMC play in maintaining the well-being of local residents.

The generosity of CMC Recycling's employees has made a significant impact on the community. By contributing to the mission center’s efforts, they have helped ensure that many families can access necessary resources. This partnership exemplifies the power of community cooperation and highlights how collective action can bring about meaningful change. As PBMC continues its mission, it remains open to further contributions from generous donors who wish to support their ongoing initiatives.
