Cleveland Car Dealership Hit by Massive Fire, $500K Damage

Early Monday morning on Cleveland's West side, a massive fire erupted at a car dealership, sending firefighters into a battle to contain the blaze. Cleveland firefighters were quick to respond, with 60 firefighters, five engines, four ladders, and two rescue squads arriving at the scene in the 4800 block of Lorain Ave. around 12:30 a.m. Two buildings, a repair shop and the offices, were engulfed in flames.

The owner of Byright Auto Sales, Chuck Sullivan, expressed his distress over the incident. "It couldn't be at a worse time. It's the slowest part of the season. Our biggest season is the end of February, when income tax money hits. At this stage of the game, we are building cars to get ready for the season, but now everything is destroyed." The damage is estimated at a significant $500,000, leaving the business in a state of disarray.The Response of Firefighters
