Culinary Showdown: The Battle for the Best Chicken Adobo

This year's Filipino American History Month celebration will inaugurate the "Battle for the Best" chicken adobo cook-off, showcasing the finest cooks in Carson who will compete live in "kitchen stadium." The competition promises to be a tantalizing display of culinary mastery, as the participants vie for the coveted title of the city's top adobo chef. Adding to the excitement, the co-founder of the international Grammy award-winning hip hop group the Black-Eyed Peas and founder of the Apl.de.Ap Foundation International, Apl.de.Ap, will be among the celebrity judges tasked with determining the winner. This event not only celebrates the rich gastronomic heritage of the Filipino-American community but also highlights the deep-rooted passion and expertise that has been passed down through generations.

The Apl.de.Ap Foundation International will be co-producing the first-ever Carson Auto Show, a celebration of Filipino-American heritage through the lens of automotive excellence. One of the event's highlights is the public debut of Apl.de.Ap's 1967 Ford F100—a classic race truck reimagined as a 600 HP electric powerhouse.
