Chico High Veterans Memorial Halted by Concrete Depth Issue

The veterans memorial at Chico High has been a work in progress for 2 years. In July, volunteers began laying bricks, but a new issue emerged. Rotarian Tim O’Connell informed Action News Now that the pocket where the bricks were supposed to go was about an inch too deep. This has caused a holdup in the project. However, good news is on the way. Volunteers from CRBR, Rental Guys, and the Chico Rotary Club will soon be pouring more concrete to bring the pocket to the correct level. Once this is done, the bricks will finally be able to be placed, completing this important memorial.
