Cadillac is celebrating its entry into Formula 1 with the release of an exclusive, high-performance vehicle. As the automaker marks its inaugural F1 season, including its first race on American soil at the 2026 Miami Grand Prix, it has unveiled a special edition CT5-V Blackwing with significantly increased power.
The CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series features a supercharger upgrade developed in collaboration with GM Motorsports, boosting the 6.2-liter V8 engine's output to 685 horsepower and 673 pound-feet of torque, a notable increase from the standard 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet. This potent sedan will be exclusively offered with a six-speed manual gearbox. Each vehicle also includes the Precision Package, an $18,000 enhancement on the standard Blackwing, which comprises upgraded suspension components, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. Visually, the F1 Collector Series stands out with its Midnight Stone Frost Exterior paint, complemented by Carbon Flash Metallic wheels, gloss-black exterior badging, monochromatic crests, and Harbor Gray Metallic brake calipers. The carbon-fiber lower bodywork is distinguished by a Switchblade Silver pinstripe.
The F1 and FIA branding are subtly integrated throughout the vehicle. The F1 logo is embossed on the lower front doors, and both logos are featured on the rear spoiler, while the FIA emblem adorns the rocker panels. Inside, the sill plates proudly display 'Cadillac Formula 1,' and the seats boast embossed F1 graphics. The six-speed manual shifter is adorned with a unique F1 medallion, and under the hood, the supercharger cover showcases a CNC-machined F1 logo and a laser-etched FIA logo. Production of this exclusive series, limited to just 26 units, is scheduled to begin in mid-2026 and will be available in the United States and Canada. While pricing has yet to be announced, it is anticipated to exceed the $135,175 cost of a regular CT5-V Blackwing equipped with the Precision Package and both Carbon Fiber Packages, likely surpassing $150,000.
This limited-edition Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing embodies the spirit of peak automotive engineering and competitive achievement. It serves as a testament to Cadillac's commitment to performance and its celebratory engagement in the prestigious world of Formula 1 racing, offering enthusiasts a rare blend of power, precision, and exclusivity.
