Day-to-Day Accounting Functions Oversight

An employee is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions. This includes crucial aspects such as financial statement reporting, managing the station payables process, handling the station's capital budget, managing accounts receivable (including political recon, cash in advance, and resolving disputes), and troubleshooting various issues for other station departments like T&E and admin. The role also involves assisting with forecasts, AOP, and LRP, as well as bookkeeping for the Teletower partnership and providing ad-hoc reporting/tracking for different station departments (such as OT, news, and finance). Additionally, there are other tasks like managing supplies.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements

Broadcast media experience is preferred, and MS Excel experience is a must. Familiarity with financial systems like SAP is preferred, and the ability to learn other systems such as Traffic, T&E, and payroll is also important. Problem-solving skills are essential when working with various levels of stakeholders, sometimes with tight timelines. Forecasting and budgeting skills are also necessary.

Required Education and Certification

A degree in Accounting is preferred, and a CPA or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
