Bungie Layoffs: Devs React to Massive Reductions, 'Generational Talent Just Gone'

Following recent updates to Destiny 2 and earlier indications of impending job cuts, Bungie, in conjunction with Sony, confirmed a substantial workforce reduction. This action impacts a significant portion of the Destiny 2 development team, several individuals working on the Marathon title, and various external contractors.

While official figures from Sony are unreleased, a WARN notice from Bungie indicated 292 positions were eliminated at their Washington headquarters. This count does not encompass remote or contract staff, suggesting a higher overall impact.
