Unlock Incredible Savings on Black Friday Gaming

Xbox Series X Deals

The Xbox Series X (1TB) is available for $448 at Amazon, a significant $52 off the manufacturer's suggested retail price. This is a great opportunity to own the higher-end Xbox at a discounted price. While it's not the lowest we've seen, it's Microsoft's official discount and any savings are worth considering. Whether an Xbox is a must-have is a different matter, as Microsoft has focused less on exclusives. However, if you're a fan of Xbox Game Pass or have friends who use the platform, the Series X is still a great piece of hardware. You can also find this deal at Walmart, Target, and other retailers.

Another aspect to consider is the storage expansion for the Xbox Series X/S. The WD Black C50 Expansion Card (1TB) is priced at $100 at Amazon, a $58 discount. Although it's still expensive compared to a regular SSD with the same capacity, any savings are welcome. Only two proprietary expansion cards exist for the Xbox Series X/S, and this is a great deal for those looking to increase their storage. It's also available at Best Buy.

Switch and Other Console Deals

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the Switch is available at Woot for $42, a $18 discount from its original price. This is a new low for the recent Switch remake of the beloved GameCube RPG. Engadget Senior Editor Devindra Hardawar highly recommends it, stating "It's great, you should play it."

Super Mario RPG for the Switch is also on sale at Woot for $32, a $18 discount. This lively and brisk Super Nintendo essential game got a Switch remake last year and still maintains its oddball spirit while sprucing up the visuals. It's a great option for those looking for a lighter RPG.

Game Bundles and More

The Portal: Companion Collection for the Switch is priced at $5 at Nintendo, a $15 discount. Portal and Portal 2 are two of the most fully-actualized games ever made, filled with wit and mind-opening puzzles. The second game is also a favorite couch co-op game. This discount ties the lowest price we've seen for the Companion Collection and is part of a wider suite of digital game deals at Nintendo's online store.

Madden NFL 25 for the PS5 and Xbox is available at Amazon for $35, a $35 discount. While Madden could use a creative reset, it's still Madden and fun to play if you're in the football mood. You can also find this deal at Walmart.

EA Sports FC 25 is on sale for $35 at Amazon for PS5, PS4, and Xbox, and $30 at the Switch. Although the series has its issues, many people still enjoy playing as their favorite footy team. This is a new low price for the game.

WWE 2K24 for the PS5 and Xbox is priced at $24 at Amazon, a $11 discount. It scratches the itch for most WWE game fans, but expect a few bugs here and there. You can also find this deal at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy, or for $23 at Xbox. The last-gen versions are also on sale for a few bucks less.

NBA 2K25 for the PS5 and Xbox is available at Amazon for $30, a $40 discount. It has its own issues with pay-to-win online modes and occasional glitchiness, but the on-court play is solid for playing through a season or playing offline with friends. You can also find this deal at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. The Switch edition is $4 less but generally slower and more watered-down.

Gaming Laptop and Monitor Deals

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 Advantage Edition (2023) gaming laptop is priced at $700 at Best Buy, a $400 discount. Although it's a 2023 model, it offers a 16-inch 165Hz 1,920 x 1,200 display, an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and an AMD Radeon RX 7700S GPU. It has its trade-offs, such as getting warm under load and a less-than-great keyboard, but it's powerful enough to run newer games in 1080p and has a sturdy chassis with a battery that can last double-digit hours when not gaming.

The LG 32GS95UV-W 32-inch gaming monitor is priced at $1,000 at Amazon, a $400 discount. It's a premium OLED panel with a sharp 4K resolution and a fast 240Hz refresh rate, which can jump to 480Hz at 1080p. It's great for esports-style games like Counter-Strike 2 and has excellent contrast. It's available at LG and Best Buy as well. The only differences compared to the recommendation in our guide are a white finish and weaker built-in speakers.
