The Melbourne Performance Centre (MPC) has unveiled its plans to field a top-tier Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in the upcoming Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, partnering with Jamec Racing. This prestigious event will see an impressive trio of drivers—Supercars sensation Broc Feeney, seasoned Audi driver Ricardo Feller, and Australian GT champion Liam Talbot—taking turns behind the wheel of the No. 183 car. The number 183 holds significance as it reflects the total number of current-generation R8s produced by Audi for GT3 competition. This entry aims to secure another victory for the German marque at Mount Panorama, where Audi has previously triumphed three times.

Feeney's inclusion marks a significant shift from his previous engagement with Triple Eight Race Engineering. After finishing third overall in their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo last year, he was unexpectedly left without a seat until this opportunity arose. "I was genuinely thrilled when I received the call," Feeney expressed. "The Bathurst 12 Hour has been an incredible experience for me, and missing out would have been tough. Now, I get to compete at one of my favorite events and gain valuable track time before the Supercars season begins."

Jamec Racing's Steven McLaughlin emphasized the team's commitment to competitiveness. "Initially, we weren't planning to participate due to reduced factory support from Audi. However, once we secured Ricardo Feller, we knew we had a winning chance. Feller's expertise on the mountain is unparalleled, and combined with Feeney's recent success and Talbot's extensive experience, we believe we have a formidable lineup. Our goal is not just to participate but to be in contention for the win. With the right circumstances, we are confident in our ability to perform strongly in the final hour."

This strategic partnership between MPC and Jamec Racing underscores the importance of collaboration and ambition in motorsport. It highlights the relentless pursuit of excellence and the spirit of competition that drives teams and drivers alike. As the event approaches, all eyes will be on the No. 183 Audi, eager to witness whether this talented trio can bring home another victory for Audi at the iconic Bathurst circuit.
