The campaign’s success was highlighted by Ron Witherspoon, President and CEO of Arvest Bank in Little Rock, who noted the unfortunate reality that the states where Arvest operates rank highly in terms of food insecurity. Despite this challenge, the campaign achieved a 15% increase over the previous year’s fundraising efforts. Brian Burton, CEO of the Arkansas Foodbank, expressed gratitude for the state-of-the-art facility provided by the community. Arkansas leads the nation in food insecurity, with nearly 19% of households uncertain about their next meal. Texas follows closely with 17%, while the national average stands at 12.2%.

Moreover, Arkansas ranks second in the category of 'very low food security,' with 6.7% of households facing severe challenges. South Carolina holds the top position at 7%, compared to the U.S. average of 4.7%.
