The Keck School of Medicine of USC has announced the appointment of Greg Kharabadze, MHA, FACHE, as its new Senior Associate Dean and Chief Operations and Finance Officer, effective January 1, 2025. In his new role, Kharabadze will be responsible for overseeing the Keck School's operations and finance functions, with the goal of creating a collaborative, efficient, and data-driven service organization. As a key partner and advisor to the school's leadership, he will work to advance the Keck School's mission, goals, and strategic vision. Kharabadze will collaborate closely with the leadership of Keck Medicine of USC, the University's central administration, the Los Angeles General Medical Center, and other stakeholders to ensure the school's continued growth and success as an eminent academic health system.Driving Operational and Financial Excellence
Kharabadze's areas of oversight will include budget and finance, emergency preparedness and safety, human resources, information services, marketing and communications, research administration, and space and facilities planning. He will leverage his expertise in strategic planning, operational excellence, and financial management to optimize the school's resources, enhance faculty and administrative collaboration, and deploy a funds flow methodology to align the clinical and academic enterprises.Enhancing Collaboration and Fostering Institutional Growth
Kharabadze's leadership approach is characterized by his ability to inspire teams and foster institutional growth. At his previous role at Yale School of Medicine, he led a team of senior directors and directors of finance administration, driving initiatives and infrastructure to deliver outstanding clinical care, research, and education. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing faculty and administrative collaboration, optimizing resources, and aligning the clinical and academic enterprises.A Proven Track Record in Academic Medicine Administration
Kharabadze brings a distinguished career in academic medicine administration to the Keck School. Prior to his role at Yale, he held leadership positions at UC San Diego Health and the Cleveland Clinic, where he directed operational and financial programs, expanded clinical services, and improved patient care delivery and operations.
