The 66th annual Gaslight Parade and Birthplace of Speed Antique Car Show kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday. Registration and lineup occur at the Casements, setting the stage for the grand spectacle. The parade begins at 7 p.m. and winds its way east on Granada Boulevard, then south on Atlantic Avenue to Harvard Drive. It's a sight to behold as classic cars parade through the streets, showcasing the beauty and history of these timeless vehicles.The featured car for this year's show is an all original 1965 Ford Falcon, owned by Antique Automobile Club of America member Sam Musgrove of Eustis. He has cherished this car for 20 years, and it truly stands out among the rest. Unlike the massive Turkey Run show at Daytona International Speedway, this event is dedicated to vehicles from 1999 and older, ensuring a focus on true classic cars. No customized or kit cars are allowed, maintaining the authenticity of the show.Trailer parking is provided at the Casements for both the parade and the show. This makes it convenient for participants to bring their precious vehicles. The Saturday Spectacle: The Car Show at Fortunato Park

On Saturday, the car show takes place at Fortunato Park on the northeastern side of the Granada Bridge along the Halifax River. It's a haven for classic car lovers, with a wide variety of vehicles on display. T-shirts will be given away to the first 50 pre-registered cars, adding to the excitement. First place awards of $50 will be presented for 16 different classes of cars, recognizing the excellence of each vehicle.Special awards add an extra layer of prestige to the show. The Mayor's Choice award highlights a vehicle that stands out in the eyes of the community. The Judge's Best of Show award goes to the car that truly embodies the essence of classic beauty.
