Despite a moderate weight of 77 grams, which hasn't posed any issues, the R8 offers a remarkable balance of design, performance, and value. Its innovative side buttons, seamlessly integrated into the mouse, add a distinctive character, setting it apart from other mice on the market. This unique design, combined with its overall performance, cemented its place as my daily driver, showcasing that sometimes the unconventional is precisely what resonates most. My appreciation for 8BitDo has grown significantly, influenced by products like the R8 and the 8BitDo Pro 3 controller, which, despite minor critiques, became an everyday essential due to its convenience and stylish design.
