The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. on September 12th at the intersection of Marine City Highway and Marsh Road. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the car, a 19-year-old from Cottrellville Township, was attempting to turn left from Marsh Road onto Marine City Highway when the collision occurred. The motorcycle, carrying a 60-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman, both from China Township, was struck by the turning car.

When deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they found the two individuals from the motorcycle suffering from serious injuries. Both the 60-year-old man and the 57-year-old woman were immediately transported to McLaren Macomb hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, the 60-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital.The driver of the car, the 19-year-old from Cottrellville Township, also sustained minor injuries and was taken to McLaren Macomb for evaluation and care.
